As Director of the Bradford Institute for Health Research and the Wolfson Centre for Applied Health Research, John works at the intersection of medicine, epidemiology and social justice. He founded the Bradford Institute for Health Research which is now one of the leading NHS research centres in the UK, and Born in Bradford, one of the world’s largest and most diverse health studies uncovering the drivers of health and wellbeing. John leads Connected Yorkshire, a rich linked‑data platform, and the Bradford City Collaboratory, which work with communities and policymakers to design and test interventions that support child health.
